Mr Walter CHONG

Mr Walter Chong has 23 years of experience in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). He began his career as an instructor. He later became director of the TVET Curriculum development. Recently, he was appointed Director of International Affairs for the Ministry of Education. His work requires coordination with International counterparts such as UNESCO, SEAMEO, ASEAN, ASEM, ICESCO, APEC.
Recently, he took on the role of Deputy Director in the recently established Lifelong Learning Centre (L3C). His main responsibility is to set up policies and guidelines for LLL and develop new courses for LLL.
He received his BSc (Hon) in Quantity Surveying from the University of Reading, UK, then he received his Postgraduate Certificate in Technical Education from the Universiti Brunei Darussalam. He also received his Postgraduate Diploma in Facility and Environment Management from University College London. He was professionally trained in TVET Curriculum Development (DACUM) at the Institute of Technical Education (ITE), Singapore (2013). He was one of the specialists in the transformation of the Institute of Brunei Technical Education.
