Mr Walter Chong had a 23 year of experience in TVET starting as an instructor till director of TVET Curriculum development (1995-2018). Then he had the privilege to be assigned as Director of International Affairs for the Ministry of Education for 2 year (2018-2020). He still continues his networking with his International counterparts like UNESCO, SEAMEO, ASEAN, ASEM, ICESCO, APEC.
Recently, on August 2020, he was transferred to the newly established Lifelong Learning Centre (L3C) as Deputy Director (Academic) to play the role in settling up policies and guidelines for LLL as well as to develop new courses for LLL. https://l3c.moe.gov.bn
He graduated from University of Reading, UK in BSc (Hon) Quantity Surveying (1994) and then took up Postgraduate Certificate in Technical Education from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (1997) as a qualified trainer. In 2003, He graduated in Postgraduate Diploma in Facility and Environment Management from UCL, London, 2003. He was also professionally trained in TVET Curriculum Development (DACUM) from Institute of Technical Education (ITE) Singapore (2013).
