Mr Gabriel Weibl’s research interests are in the area of international student mobility and internationalization of higher education (idea of cosmopolitanism, intercultural competence, knowledge transfer and employability), political communication through social media, and queer geography. He studied at the NCRE (University of Canterbury, New Zealand), was a visiting scholar at Charles University, University of Oxford, the University of Primorska, the University of Valencia and London Metropolitan University. Gabiel also works at the Institute for Forecasting – Slovak Academic of Sciences. He teaches EU and Social Media; History of Political Thought, Comparative Politics Western Europe and Political English (Public speech and debate). He is currently doing research on ENLIVEN – Lifelong learning (Horizon2020). His upcoming publication will be “Risk, Uncertainty and the Role of Serendipity in International Student Mobility in Globe in Motion 2.”
