Professor Galimkair MUTANOV

Professor Galimkair MUTANOV is a professor, academic and D.Sc., Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, member of the WAAS, and Vice-President and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan. His excellent management skills and commitment has facilitated KazNU to gain a solid foothold in the area of international education. Having graduated from the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute, Professor Mutanov obtained his postgraduate and doctoral degrees from the Moscow State Mining University. He started managing universities such as Kozybayev and Serikbayev universities during his early years. In 2002, he became the first Vice-Minister of Education and Science in Kazakhstan. He is the author of more than 500 scientific publications and had selected works reviewed by Nobel Prize winner John Nash. Professor MUTANOV has also won various awards such as the ISESCO Prize in Mathematics.
